so u mean, when i hit hib caster befor he stuns me, he cant cast then for 2-3s? yeah, sure :lol:

I have the feeling, that bow damage is affected by durability, please correct me, if I am wrong, but imho item condition should affect damage, but not durability.

I play a 100% solo leveling scout, currently at lvl 44.5. I wear all 99% QUA player crafted items, fully SCed => fully capped, with procs and all you can have to do some extra damage. I normally have dex + dex/qui buff pots with me, getting my dex to ~250. I have only 35 LB spec + 9 from items = 44, so this could explain some variance. Now here is what I have noticed:

- I started leveling on gobos with lvl 42, at that level they were orange to me. At that time I started to use my new lvl 50 bow (ofc 100% dur). My crits shot for about 350 - 450, half it for the regular shot. 80% of gobos reached to me with about 10-20% of HP left, easy to finish, nice leveling.
- It takes thousands of gobos to level up, so I had to repair the bow often enough, the durability slowly dropped
- Although I leveled up twice, I had the feeling, that my critshots were hitting softer and softer. With yesterdays repair, the bow dropped to 72%, I went up to gobos in Cornwall, fresh pots in my inventory, bow at 100% con, my opening critshots did 250 -> 350, regular shots 120 - 180, 80% of gobos reached me with 40 - 50% HP left. A little bit of math: 350 * 0.72 = 252, 450 * 0.72 = 324, that confirms my feelings
- At this point I stopped levelin, because it is senseless, I will prepare a new bow and run direct test.

Meanwhile I ask community / devs to check this issue. Thanks!

P.S. I need a logging tool to record my shots, can anybody give me some tips?

When you refuse to balance DEAD classes that literally see NO play, then i'm sorry you do not care about those classes. They are underpowered, next to useless, can't get an RvR group, and all around un-fun when you can't kill anything without zerging it down.

Do /who scout, hunter, reaver, friar, thane, valewalker, champion, etc. You will hardly see anyone playing those classes, let alone lvl 50 and RvR'ing. Why do you think that is?

I swear sometimes i feel like we're playing a different game. Maybe you only play on the weekend during EU high pop times? I don't know...

UPDATE on the durability issue: It does NOT seem to be the case, that durablity affects bow damage. I made an identical new bow and ran some tests. Although I didnt find a decent tool to analyze chat logs regarding bow damage, the overall feeling with both bows was the same => I still suck vs Gobos. It seems they were made harder since one of the latest patches.

Short resume: Crit shot of avg. 300 with Slash arrows vs. Gobos (1-2 lvl lower, slash vulnerable) with 44 in LB (35 spec + 9 items), with lvl 50 / 99% qua bow, is just ridiculous. If that is meant to be intentional, then I will bury my scout and stop playing Uthgard.

Scout / Ranger are the only classes that I love to play. On Uthgard 1.0 I was happy with them, on Uthgard 2.0 I am not, and I am not the kind of gamer, that just plays what is currently strong. To level my gimped scout to 50 will take me another 55 hours, I am a casual player, playing perhaps 4 hours a week, that means I will ding 50 in 12 weeks, just to find out, that scout sucks in RvR. I doubt its worth it :cry:

so you want custom balance changes and not fixes?
And stealthers have never found groups in RvR in DAoC...the other classes more, but also always shunned by the preset 8man grps, so what exactly is your point?

Playing hunter . I played hunter during beta too with rr5 honestly it's ok like it is . I remember high rr ranger in uthgard1 with illimited pots and charges that can kill anybody eveen rr10 war so guys stop complaining . 500 600 with only 35 in bow what do you want guys really ? :hammer:

So again for those that can't read carefully:

Scout, lvl 44:

- PvP (not RvR)
- bow on level (35 + 9)
- crafted 99% max lvl bow
- fully SC'ed
- fully buffed (dex + dex/qui pots)
- mob is lvl 42-43, so 1-2 level lower + Slash vulnerable and attacking with best slash arrows
- going on max bow distance to mob before attacking with critshot

=> mob reaches scout with 40% life left

There is something wrong! Thats not how its intended. Scouts have a very low weaponskill, so all they should need their breakfast knife for, is to finish off that 1-5% of life left after attacking with bow.

Thats how it was on Uth 1.0, thats how it was on live, thats how it is NOT on Uth 2.0

And I am not complaining about level 1-40, I enjoyed these levels, I could chain-pull yellow/ora. Since lvl 40 its getting worse, level by level.

I am also not whining around and ask for a damage boost to make me the one button kill dude. All I want is to investigate, if there is an issue with the damage calculation formula. If - at the end - comes out, that there is no issue and that scout on Uth 2.0 is supposed to be as he is, then scout is no option for me, just because I am no masochist :D
