Necromancer pet behavior

i just started playing a necromancer and notice two things that bugs me.
1) is there a way to interrupt pet casting? just putting the pet in passive does nothing, sometime spamming the passive button stops the animation but not the cast itself. Is this normal? or there was a way back in 2003 to stop unwanted casts (for example just after an aoe mez), and if not shudn't this problem be addressed somehow? 2) I also noticed a lag between when I click/press the spell icon and when the pet actually start casting the spell. It depends on the distance of the necromancer from his pet and if the pet was in combat or not (not game lag, i'm sure of it). Is this working as intended? never played a necromancer myself on official so i would like to hear some opinions/report from someone with experience. I know many of us will roll a necromancer for farming once Uthgard goes live, so any help would be a great service to us all ![]() |

since my Necro is 50 i can sa so far that spell stop works fine with pet passive, the behaviour with the lag after push spell buttons well yea sometimes its weird, the Abomination itself has a very long timer cause of the heavy slow swingrate. Zerstörer der Seelen

try interrupt a mana transfer and let me know if you can

The spell will stop if you put pet on passive mode, but I have had times the pet will still go to the target even when he is put on stay mode. Also I find the pet lags way behind if you sprint ahead. I have yet been able to try it with minstrel speed running also.
Also had a problem re summoning abomination pet if you zone or died. Had to relog for that . |
