hi guys, i am an infil 33, in some time i will get level 40 single line spec, and i want to be sure about the final build. this is my current spec:

stealth AT
Envenom 24
Thrust 33
DW 31
CS 1

so at 40 i am going to single line respec DW, and get the following final build at 50 (after AT stealth until 48):

Stealth 37
Envenom 37
Thrust 50
DW 14
CS 44

do you have any comments on the final build? i want to make sure that is the correct one so i don't put wrong points in my spec while leveling to 50 :)

For myself i would go 39 CS and higher DW.

Offhand swing is way more dmg than +5 dmg in CS. (my personal opinion without any proove)

just a quick question/hint?

what do you think how long it takes to get rr3, rr4, rr5?

what do you think you will be able to get a respec stone?

i would drop cs to 39 or 34 and raise dw. offhand swing chance is really important at this patch level for a number of reasons.

my spec at RR1 will be:

50 thrust
34 cs
39 stealth/envenom
26 dw

the availability and price of respec stones will determine how often i respec when i gain realm rank.

i'd rather have 50 composite stealth and envenom at rr1 and respec later than gimp myself at low rr to save plat on a respec stone.

i was thinking of leaving this thread like it is since its just silly. but here are also other new players here my 2 cent.

rr2 you get with 10-15 kills, so making a setup for rr1 is just stupid.
rr3 after around 100, this should be also very easy made.

since temp + potions already costs a fortune for an infi its maybe a good advice not to spend several plats on a respec you need after 1 hour rvr or a week.

just my 2 cent

So what's the ideal level to have stealth / envenom upon hitting 50?
Why is 39/39 lol? Am new, halp.

spec + items/SC(+11 usually) + RR = 50

As soon as you hit rr2 those points will be wasted, and rr1 doesn't last long enough to worry about not having cap stealth or venom. Most fresh 50 spec's aim for rr3 or 4 since it really doesn't take that long to reach those. so usually 36 or 37 stealth/venom works. Depending how fast you think you'll rank up.

these guys are making absolutely valid points.

my point is that when you're rr1-rr3l9 your character is the weakest it is ever going to be in 50 rvr, especially for a new player. why run a spec that has you running below full strength during that period? for an extra 4% offhand swing chance? for stunning stab? i just don't think the offhand swinging 4 more times in 100, or the gr difference between stunning stab and a positional style, makes up for not having 50 comp envenom/stealth. yeah, between rr4 and 5 it's sweet to have that extra stuff in addition lifebane and 50 comp stealth, but if you're going to respec at rr5 anyway (which i assume you are since you're making such a huge deal about wasted points) you're not saving any plat, and with 39/39 you're set to use all the tools at your disposal at rr1.

ifs have the advantage of being able to have 50 comp stealth/envenom at rr1 while still keeping stunning stab, dragonfang, and a >50% offhand swing chance.

rr1->rr2 = 10-15 kills if you need full env and stealth for this go ahead.
most players can do it without

most infs here are powerleveled and thus autotrain, so the most common starting spec will be

50 thrust
39 CS
36 stealth
36 envenom
27 DW

and there's lot of reasons to do that spec. dragonfang, enough DW, stunning stab (GR 1.2). with 36 envenom you have the best debuff from the start and using lvl45 dot until RR4 isn't so bad (lifebane only has +7 delve). combined stealth is bad at the very beginning, but already at RR3 (only 62k RP) it won't matter the world, as with 49 stealth the disadvantage isn't so bad anymore. you will be fighting other low RR stealthers with the same combined stealth and visibles won't detect you easily with 49 stealth.

btw. RR4 -> RR5 is more RP wise than RR1 -> RR4 (300k to 210k).

I would like to know, does composite 50 envenom allows you to use level 50 venom? or is composite not taken into account when applying poisons?

Yes

for example 39+11 poison allows you to apply lifebane on your weapon.

You dont have to have 39+11 skill to "fire" the poison when the weapon is used.
