Hello, I admit I'm looking for an easy answer - I've searched through freddy's,etc for solid info but haven't found any.
What realistically would be the difference between 44cs and 50cs in terms of DPS? Disregard learning new styles, and static increasing PA/backstab damage. I'm curious about weaponskill, style damage, growth rates, etc. I'm wondering what the balance act should be with skill points because I don't think I'm going to spec dragonfang. That means I either go to 50CS or ~35ish DW (w/ 44cs). Any info is helpful! |

The question should be 44 vs 39 CS.
Spec at low RR (3 for example) is pretty simple: 50 Thrust 37 Stealth 37 Envenom Then you go, assuming full auto training, 39 CS - 25 DW or 44 CS - 14 DW. So does the damage increase in CS styles make the drop in off hand swings worth it? For info having the higher, 25, DW you will swing off hand 7.48% more often. This is assuming this formula is correct: (Composite DW x 0.68)+25 = % offhand swing 14 DW = 34.52% 25 DW = 42% Edit: I did a quick parser test between the two. I used 3 bars of End using only Pincer. 39CS 25DW : Pincer 36 hits 27.8DPS (Avg dmg 63). Offhand swings 17. 44CS 14DW : Pincer 36 hits 28.0DPS (Avg dmg 65). Offhand swings 13. Didn't have much time but the extra DW seem worth it in terms of CS style damage. Edit2: After 10 perfs for each spec the 44CS does an average of 25dmg more on the training dummy. 194 to 219. I guess this difference is greater in RvR where perfs are doing 400+ |
