Leveling as a melee, specifically an Inf, is challenging. The need for new weapons is there but the cost is usually more than you can afford on your character. So, leveling with CS and Envenom only sounds like a really viable option.

Anyone have experience with this, or thoughts? I know it is mentioned as viable for Nightshade.

At higher levels, your weaponskill should be horrible, and your base damage will not be too nice.

For chain-pulling blues it should work, will yellows it could work maybe, but you should experience more misses, anything higher your miss rate will be huge.

Remember: The dual wield + weaponspec will not only bring you increased weaponskill and offhand damage, it will also increase your mainhand damage by effectively reducing the mainhand weaponspeed (50/50 formula).

Until the mid 20s you should be OK with staff. After that I'd try to get some weapons, maybe check where you can get some through one-time-drops etc.
